Data Downloads
Although
Argus has exceptionally capable data processing features,
there are still times when it may be convenient to download data
for further analysis with spreadsheet software.
Data Download Dialog
The data download dialog lets the user specify one or more sensors
and a date range. In addition, the user can specify
raw (unprocessed readings) or calculated readings, a field separator,
and a filter that reduces the total volume of data, making
it easier to use in a spreadsheet.

Downloading Data from Trend Plots
When Argus displays a trend plot, it keeps a record of the calculated
data used to generate the plot. This data can be downloaded by
clicking the disk icon.
Archiving Data
Administrators can periodically remove readings from the database
using the Archive dialog. Argus returns a text file containing
identified, time-stamped, but otherwise unprocessed readings.
The archive file can be reloaded, if necessary.
